The Macallan Skyfall edition sold for £9,600
A bottle of The Macallan 1962 signed by cast members of Skyfall, including Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem, has raised £9,635 for charity at auction.

The label of the donated bottle bore the signatures of villain Javier Bardem, Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe and Bond himself, Daniel Craig, adding even more value to the already highly collectible whisky.
The single malt, which was distilled in the same year Bond first hit the big screen in Dr No, was donated by The Macallan’s owners Edrington last month for the Sotheby’s Finest and Rarest Wine Sale.
The proceeds of the sale will go to charities supporting members of the British security and intelligence services, a cause chosen by Prince Charles at the Skyfall premiere in October, 2012.
David Cox, director of fine and rare whiskies at Edrington, said: “We are delighted with the result of today’s auction. Following on from The Macallan’s ‘cameo’ in Skyfall we were honoured to be able to take part in this prestigious, Finest & Rarest Wines sale and are ecstatic with the amount raised.”
“The charities that will receive the monies raised are very fitting and will help support members of the British security and intelligence services.”
Featuring in key scenes throughout Skyfall, The Macallan has long been renowned as producing valuable and collectable expressions. In July last year, a 64-year-old bottle in Lalique crystal sold for £291,125 breaking the Guinness world record for the most expensive whisky ever to go under the hammer.
