Neft vodka goes viral with graphic video
Russian-Austrian vodka brand Neft has topped the viral charts this week, overtaking a preview of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a fast-paced action packed music video.
Neft vodka’s video has gone viral in days
Shot in collaboration with rock band Biting Elbows, the video titled ‘Insane Office Escape 2’ has racked up over 10.5 million views in just a couple of weeks.
A bloody adventure shot in the first person, the video follows one faceless hero who attempts to escape from an office building laden with ‘bad guys’.
The hero begins his journey by dousing his wounds in Neft vodka, an Austrian grain vodka made using Russian know-how that’s packaged in an oil can.
The video was directed by Ilya Naishuller and shot over the course of nine hours with five stuntmen using GoPro cameras.
It has become so popular that according to adage.com, the video has been watched more times this week than a preview of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day video, and the viral Pepsi Max testdrive with comedian Jeff Gordon.
