Peligroso Cinnamon Tequila hailed as world first

California-based Peligroso Spirits has launched the world’s first cinnamon flavoured Tequila having noticed demand for innovation in the category.

Peligroso Cinnamon Tequila will begin rolling out this month across the US

Peligroso Cinnamon Tequila, blend of 42% abv Tequila, natural cinnamon and other secret ingredients, is described as having a savoury and warm flavour that leaves “some sweet heat” on the finish.

It is the first flavoured Tequila expression from Peligroso Spirits, which realised a market for innovation within the category.

“We recognized a demand for something new in our rapidly growing category,” said Keith Ross, CEO of Peligroso Spirits. “When we discovered the complex flavor that resulted as we infused cinnamon with our tequila, we knew we had something exceptional on our hands.”

The release is thought to be the world’s first cinnamon flavoured Tequila, although Missouri-based McCormick Distilling produces Hot Rose, a cinnamon cream liqueur made using Tequila.

Peligroso Cinnamon Tequila launches this month in key States in the US including California and Nevada, with additional markets to follow throughout the next few months.

Peligroso Spirits has also announced two distribution partnerships with Southern Wine and Spirits of America and Republic National Distributing Company.

Both companies will be responsible for distributing Peligroso’s range of Silver, Reposado And Anejo Tequilas.
