Glenmorangie unveils Nectar D’Òr Scotch
Glenmorangie has announced the release of its Nectar D’Òr 15 yr old whisky.
Glenmorangie Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old is initially matured for a minimum of 10 years in ex-Bourbon American white oak casks, then extra matured in old Sauternes casks for a further five years. The extended maturation period lends the spirit a citrusy and honeyed quality.
Glenmorangie head of distilling and whisky creation Bill Lumsden explained: “The result of extra-maturing Nectar D’Òr for an additional three years has improved the voluptuous whisky; Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old is characterised by rich flavours of luscious desserts and spicy oak tannins, resulting from the extra-maturation process.”
Nectar D’Òr 15 Years Old is the expansion of Extra Matured Range, which includes Quinta Ruban.
The new product, bottled at 46% ABV is available at Waitrose and Sainsbury’s for £38.99 ($62.31).
