Moore joins Southern Glazer’s to head off-premise

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has appointed former Pernod Ricard executive Scott Moore as senior vice president, national accounts, off-premise, effective 1 April 2017.

In his new role, Scott will be responsible for all off-premise supplier planning, in addition to driving development and implementation of annual customer operating plans and supporting the retail leadership team. His role will help drive strategy through inventory and supply planning, information technology, consumer and digital insights and category management initiatives.

Scott, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the alcohol industry, will report to Shawn Thurman, executive vice president, national accounts.

After gaining a Bachelor’s degree at Baylor University, Scott held positions at The Patrón Spirits Company and Constellation Brands. His most recent role was vice president and general manager, US chains, on-/off-premise and military at Pernod Ricard.

Last month, Southern Glazer’s, the largest beverage alcohol distributor in North America, inked a major 37-state distribution agreement with Beam Suntory, extending the existing partnership to 2030.
