Brown-Forman extends MSX TR logistics deal

Jack Daniel’s-maker Brown-Forman has extended its travel retail logistics contract with Macintyre Scott-Xtra to include its entire UK business in the channel.

Brown-Forman has inked a new travel retail logistics deal with MSX

In addition to its cruise, marine, military and diplomatic operations, the new 12-month deal will also see MSX provide Brown-Forman products to World Duty Free, P&O and Condor Ferries and British Airways.

The agreement builds on the existing two-year contract between the Finlandia vodka producer and the warehousing, stock management, transport and duty management firm.

“I’m delighted that Brown-Forman has extended its range with MSX to give us full cover of the UK travel retail market,” said Nicola Ridges-Jones, MSX managing director.

“Our expert staff take great pride in exceeding our customers’ expectations, and we look forward to our extended co-operation with Brown-Forman in keeping the UK’s travel retail market supplied with its range of quality spirits.

“We offer our own dedicated transport fleet, secure bonded warehouse facilities, and highly-experienced staff, which makes MSX such an excellent logistics partner of choice for our clients.”

David Bothe, Brown-Forman’s Europe supply chain director, added: “We have worked successfully with MSX and are pleased with the exceptional service they’ve given us. It was an easy decision to confirm them as our service provider for the entire UK travel retail market and to extend our contract.”

Brown-Forman recently reported a 4% net sales decline for the first six months of its 2016/17 fiscal year, blaming the sale of Southern Comfort and adverse currency effects for the loss.
