Sidney Frank sells American Harvest Vodka

US spirits firm The Beach Whiskey Company has acquired the American Harvest Vodka brand, first launched by the Sidney Frank Importing Company (SFIC) in 2011.

American Harvest Vodka is an organic “farm-to-bottle” vodka

The organic ‘farm-to-bottle’ vodka remained under the ownership of SFIC after Jägermeister took over the group in 2015.

American Harvest Vodka has now returned to SFIC’s former marketing president Bill Henderson, who co-created the brand and is now chief marketing officer at The Beach Whiskey Company. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

American Harvest Vodka, which was temporarily removed from US distribution, is handcrafted in small batches using American wheat from a single family-run farm and other “100% certified organic ingredients”.

“Now is the time for a national organic craft vodka, and American Harvest Vodka fits seamlessly into the Beach Whiskey portfolio while accelerating our national growth plans,” Smoke Wallin, CEO of The Beach Whiskey Company.

“Distributors who previously carried American Harvest are eager to have it back, and this is creating additional opportunities for the Beach Whiskey portfolio.”

John Frank, former chairman of SFIC and new member of the Beach Whiskey advisory board, added: “American Harvest is a brand near and dear to my heart. We went to incredible lengths to ensure purity from farm to bottle in creating this truly American spirit.

“I’m pleased to see American Harvest in the hands of Beach Whiskey’s very capable team, and I look forward to contributing to their portfolio’s exciting growth.”

Bottled at 40% abv, American Harvest Vodka will return to shelves across the US at an RRP of US$24.99 and “is expected to regain its national footprint”.
